Ultra Mode - A Depeche Mode Tribute Anaheim Concert reviews
The Best
1. We traveled from Columbus, Ohio to Louisville with high expectations for this show. My wife and I, on Halloween, knew that Ultra Mode - A Depeche Mode Tribute would put on a good show for their hometown crowd.
2. They even surpassed our lofty expectations. We arrived just as they were starting their set, and they opened with one of my personal favorites, "Wordless Chorus" off their album, Z.
3. Jim James' stage presence and command of the audience were impressive. We watched them rip through all of our favorite songs off of each of their albums, while James used every bit of the stage to jam out.
4. My personal favorites from the evening were a fun cover of Curtis Mayfield's "Move On Up" with the Louisville Youth Symphony providing support, a beautiful version of "Mahgeetah," and the predictable yet awesome night cap, "One Big Holiday."
5. This was easily one of the best shows I've ever seen. This was the third time we've seen them, and it certainly won't be the last. I already can't wait to see them again.
